4:45 pm - Admin-ish announcement, to all formerassassins members

To everyone who's joined this community whether old or new, thanks for joining. We're glad that the space we've created is something that so many people have seen a need for and taken an interest in. As long-term members will probably have noticed, though, this community is fairly dead, and has been for quite a while -- largely, I suspect, due to a lack of moderators to provide impetus. The original mod, yuumurakirika of the eclective system, has been living life away from the front for quite some time now, and as a result there's no one really moderating this comm -- and no one else here who really identifies with it enough to run it.

So, would any of you like to put in an offer to take this comm off our hands and possibly make it into something decent? If I get enough offers, I'll appoint a couple of you to moderate it, and then we'll basically be leaving it in your hands. I'd like to see this community thrive, but we realy don't have anything meaningful to put into it at the moment.

Many thanks,

I'm starting my "blog" directed at otherkin who are interested in the unruley side of existance: bombs, terrorism, piracy, hackers, the farsiscle specticle of politics and so on. There will certainly be metaphysical stuff in this "blog", but not always. Many of the stories will be public, but not all, so you will have to ask me to friend you to see it all. I made my first actual news entry, please visit and spread the word if you like it.

Vacume Tube- It either sucks, or you are here because of a news vacume.

5:40 pm - Questions

If the few memories I have of being an assassin are from another (or even a parallel) life, are they considered less valid than those of members who've had such experiences in this life?

If I use my regular journal id to post here, will I end up on some homeland security watch list?

5:41 pm - Update

I edited the "Life Lesson" entry. It still contains the numerous spelling errors, but it will show not. I added a bracket. LOL Enjoy.

12:37 pm - Kirika's questions

Ahah. I recognise these from somewhere else (and I recognise ambarussa too - look who else is here *grin*. :) Here's my answers...

Who is your personal role model?
I don't think I ever had one. Perhaps that's why I made such a mess of my life.

cut the rest because it's longCollapse )

Who is your personal role model?
Although she's passed, I suppose that my mother continues to be my role model. Even in her absence she has been a source of constant support. She has guided me through the darkness by the strength of her beliefs.

Money, fame or happiness, you can only have one... what would you rather have and why?
I find fame naturally unappealing. Money is a bit better, though my fondness for wealth has more to do with being accustomed to a particular lifestyle than anything else. Neither is individually appealing to me, whereas happiness is central to my life. I think that because I'd resigned myself to never having happiness, the realization that I am happy now surprises me.

Morbid question but I suppose is appropriate... What do you want on your tombstone and why?
I'm not certain that I want a tombstone. I'd certainly like my name to be somewhere, as evidence of my existence, but I'd prefer it be somewhere else. Neither the thought of being cremated nor of being placed into an unmarked grave concern me.

Also, my own question, what kind of personal comforts and things do you enjoy to relax?
I doubt my hobbies are particularly interesting... I garden, read, shop, and speak on the telephone. Actually, considering my hobbies, I feel younger than I once did.

1:39 pm - Public test post and some admin info

Just making a first post to test the layout and note down some info - I'll probably make this into a properly coherent intro post later.

Firstly if everyone would post a small (or as long as you want) intro post when you join that would be nice, and I'm going to organise the intro posts in memories so everyone can see who each other is without going back through all the posts.

Also, for the time being I'm going to put some links here that I think might be useful - I'm not sure where I want to end up putting them so I'll put them here for now. The're rather graphic and triggering links but they might be useful in corroborating experiences for some people who had similar ones. For this matter I'm not going to be very stringent about triggers, but I'd appreciate if links were marked and strongly triggering material was behind an LJ-cut. For example, using words like blood, abuse, etc. is perfectly fine for a normal post, or short, brief descriptions of things like training or what it feels like to kill. Deeper descriptions should go behind a LJ-cut.

Spiritual and Psychological Resolution of the Pain and Torment of Having Abused or Killed

mK ULTRA/Assassin Programming (describing how some groups/cults train child assassins)

I suppose sorry to have some rather depressing links at first.... I suppose this isn't a topic that lends itself too well to positivity, but I appreciate positive, hopeful and uplifting discussion just as much as this kind of thing. For that matter, I suppose this could serve as a links topic... if anyone has any useful or thougthful links, or comments on them, post here?
